To support our continued professionalization and growth, we are looking for an Accountant who is eager to take ownership and help build a strong internal accounting organization.

Your role

As an A-Z Accountant, you will be part of the central Finance team and report to the Accounting Manager. As part of the further professionalization of our organization, a new internal accounting team is being set up. This team will gradually take over our accounting activities, which are currently managed externally. In this role, you ensure that the financial administration of our various entities remains reliable and well-structured.

You play an important role in safeguarding the quality of the accounting. At the same time, you actively contribute to the further development of our internal accounting operations.

This position offers you the opportunity to take ownership, think along about improvements, and help build a strong financial structure together with the Finance team within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • You ensure the accuracy and completeness of the accounting for multiple entities within the group. Purchase and sales invoices are approved at the local sites in Exact Online; you process these invoices, follow up on any corrections, and ensure that the accounting remains reliable and consistent.

  • You work closely with the central controlling team and the administrative colleagues at the different locations. You act as a point of contact for accounting-related questions and support them in the correct application of guidelines and procedures.

  • You are responsible for the follow-up and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and intercompany transactions, and you flag any discrepancies or inconsistencies in a timely manner.

  • You are responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

  • You are responsible for VAT returns and other tax obligations, ensuring that all relevant information is accurate and submitted on time.

  • You contribute to the further development and professionalization of the internal accounting organization and actively think along about efficiency improvements.

Profile

  • Je beschikt over een bachelor of master in Accountancy, Finance of een gelijkaardige richting.

  • Je hebt minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring in een A-Z boekhoudkundige rol.

  • Je hebt een goede kennis van Belgische boekhoudprincipes en voelt je comfortabel bij maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen.

  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, gestructureerd en neemt ownership over jouw taken.

  • Je bent analytisch ingesteld en hebt oog voor detail zonder het grotere geheel uit het oog te verliezen.

  • Je communiceert vlot met collega’s en ondersteunt hen graag bij boekhoudkundige vragen.

  • Je werkt vlot met Excel en boekhoudsoftware; ervaring met Exact Online is een sterke plus.

  • Je voelt je thuis in een dynamische omgeving waar processen nog verder worden uitgebouwd en verbeterd.
