About this role:

You ensure that our tomatoes are packed smoothly and correctly every day, according to the customer's requirements. You provide leadership on the work floor and take initiative where needed.

Responsibilities:

• You lead a team of around 10 employees working on the packing line(s) you are responsible for. You divide tasks, motivate your team, and maintain a good working atmosphere.

• You monitor the schedules and adjust where needed, so the right orders leave the building on time and correctly packed.

• You safeguard quality, safety, and efficiency, and step in whenever you notice deviations.

• You resolve small technical issues on the line yourself or call in the right help in time, keeping downtime on the line to a minimum.

• You work closely with technical maintenance, logistics, and quality control, and ensure good communication flows between these departments and your team.

• You actively think along on how we can organize the work more efficiently or effectively, and aren't afraid to suggest improvements.

• You follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety instructions, and ensure your team complies with them as well.

• You report briefly and clearly to your supervisor on progress, any issues, and other noteworthy matters on the line.

• You ideally have experience as a supervisor or team leader in a production or packaging environment.

• You motivate and inspire employees through a clear, respectful approach, and aren't afraid to course-correct when needed.

• It is a plus if you have experience working with non-native-speaking employees/colleagues or with visual management; knowledge of Romanian or Arabic is an additional asset.

• You stay calm and keep an overview, even during busy moments or when the schedule suddenly changes.

• You have an eye for quality and detail, and a healthy sense of responsibility toward both customer and team.

• You are flexible and pragmatic: no two days are quite the same in a fresh produce environment.

• Affinity with technology or machinery is a plus, as is experience working according to fixed procedures.
