At Den Berk Délice we want to produce the tastiest tomatoes every day. Health and quality are central to this. We strive for lasting partner relationships. As a company, we want to continue to innovate and distinguish ourselves in order to be strong in today's and tomorrow's market.
Would you like to help us accomplish this mission?
At Den Berk Délice, we build strong flavours, innovative concepts, and sustainable growth every day. As a market leader in concepts, branding, and taste, and a top-three player in specialty tomatoes across at least six European countries, we operate internationally and are driven every day to do even better. This ambition is reflected not only in our greenhouses but also behind the scenes, including within our quality team.
As a Quality Control Officer, you are responsible for the daily quality control of our tomatoes. You monitor inspections, analyse results, and determine the actions required based on your findings. You provide technical guidance and support to our quality inspectors and serve as the organisation’s point of contact for all matters related to product quality.
In addition, you help embed Den Berk Délice’s quality vision throughout the organisation. From cultivation managers and the packing facility to the Supply & Demand team, you ensure that every team understands what we observe, what it means, and which actions need to be taken.
Monitor and safeguard incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality inspections to ensure products meet the agreed specifications.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to quality inspectors, ensuring quality standards are applied consistently across the organisation.
Promote and communicate our quality vision to other departments and teams, ensuring that quality is understood beyond the quality department and that agreed actions are effectively implemented.
Register, analyse, and evaluate inspection results and non-conformities. Identify trends and recurring issues that require structural improvements.
Evaluate existing quality control processes and develop concrete improvement proposals where opportunities are identified.
Coordinate and participate in regular taste tests and flavour evaluations. As a key member of the internal tasting panel, you ensure that taste is assessed using a consistent methodology and translated into targeted improvement actions.
Manage quality issues from start to finish by investigating root causes, bringing together the relevant stakeholders, and ensuring agreed corrective actions are successfully implemented.
Provide feedback to cultivation managers regarding product quality and work together to identify opportunities for improvement.
Align with the Supply & Demand team on the impact of quality on product allocation and customer commitments.
Support internal audits and provide the necessary input during external audits.

You have an affinity for taste evaluation and are able to translate sensory observations into quality insights in a consistent and well-founded manner.
You critically assess existing processes and proactively take the initiative to improve them.
You are able to set priorities independently and maintain an overview when circumstances change unexpectedly.
You know how to bring people along with you: you easily connect with different teams and can clearly explain and support your point of view.
You have strong analytical skills and work accurately, with attention to detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
You hold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent knowledge and experience; a background in agriculture, food science, biotechnology, or a related field is an advantage.
You communicate fluently in Dutch and English and feel comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
You hold a valid category B driving licence and are willing to travel regularly between our different locations.
You'll join an ambitious team where we work together every day to grow and deliver the tastiest flavour tomatoes.
