Growing tomatoes? That might not sound very technical. But don’t be fooled — behind our delicious little tomatoes lies a world of impressive technology. From combined heat and power units to e-boilers, from compressed air and pumps to fine electronics — the entire technical spectrum is right here. You don’t need to know everything already, but you do need the eagerness to learn it all.
As a technician, you help keep our greenhouses and installations running like a well-oiled machine. No two days are the same, because you’ll be involved in:
Maintenance and repair of various technical systems: from electricity to CHP units, from water systems to heating pumps, from rolling equipment to infrastructure.
Actively contributing ideas to improve and optimize technical processes.
Supervising 2 to 3 workers for basic maintenance tasks and coordinating repairs or small-scale projects.
Installing new technical systems and machinery.
This role can be adapted and expanded based on your expertise and areas of interest.
Profile
Ideally, you have a technical education with an electrical background (e.g. electromechanics) and a strong interest in technology in the broadest sense.
Work experience is a plus — but motivation matters more.
You’re hands-on and like to get things done.
You're a real team player, but you’re also comfortable working independently.
You’re well-organized and place great importance on safety.
